一、about elongation calculation

e (elongation) = t / R inside × 100%
National Aluminum production standards (6063, T5) e (elongation) ≥ 8%
二、Aluminum sections elongation in curve-making general requirements
1、Aluminum sections (6063, T5): When aluminum Bending required e (elongation) ≤ 10%, generally aluminum can be bended;
2、Aluminum profile(6063, T5): When aluminum profile required e (elongation) ≥ 10%, if they come with thick walls, enclosed cavity, relatively simple geometry, symmetrical force on the bending direction and wide high ratio of less than 1, the bending elongation generally is within the range of 10% to 16%
3、When the above conditions are not met, you should consider choosing other hardness states of aluminum profile, such as To ~ T4; generally elongation of aluminum (6063, )in the status of To, can reach 20% to 28% ;
4、In summary, aluminum profile bending elongation requirements should be depending on the specific design requirements and material selection situation (geometry, wall thickness, the degree of closed cavities, curve-making direction of the symmetry of the force, tensile strength, etc.) to specifically identify.
